For an exhibition at the Times Museum in Guangzhou we looked for people whose name is spelled “Jun Yang”. Five “Jun Yangs”, including the artist himself met one afternoon to get to know each other, and then had dinner together. A single group photograph is shown in the exhibition.
The work touches on the notion of being ‘unique’ in the world, being somebody special. Our identity is so much connected to the idea of who we are as in our name. It is also about the artist (and his/her name) as a brand.
